The Fredericton Convention Centre is seeking a dynamic individual to assume the role of Coordinator.  

Reporting to the Director of Events, the Coordinator will support the Sales/Event Teams and the Administration Manager as needed, and is responsible for the following: 

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs. 

  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by telephone, email, and in-person to respond to booking inquiries, questions, and requests in a friendly and timely manner. 

  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Banquet, Kitchen and Audio-Visual departments to ensure clients’ expectations are met and exceeded. 

  • Work with clients to gain knowledge of their event details, to prepare banquet event orders to ensure a smooth transition to the service delivery team. 

  • Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). 

  • Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., revenue, leads, clients). 

  • Manage internal events and familiarization tours. 

  • Support and participate in FCC’s policiesand standard operating procedures. 

  • Be an active member of one of FCC’s committees. 

  • Administration duties as required. 

Qualifications: 

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent credentials. 

  • An acute sense of detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. 

  • Working knowledge of office & business technology. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Must be able to work independently, highly organized, autonomous and have flexible working hours. 

  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment.  

  • Customer service experience in a tourism or hospitality related field required. 

  • Conversational French language preferred. 

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. 

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
